Alex Founded the design studio/store 'Indi Store' with partner Pankaj Verma in New Delhi, handling interior, furniture and product design projects as well as retailing furniture, accessories and lighting. Having completed his Masters in Product Design from National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad as well as the Domus Academy, Milan, his designs epitomize the concept of India Modern.
Alex Davis has won recognition at various competitive international design podiums including the International Glassware Design in 1996, organised by the Italian national Institute of Architects (INARCH) and Society of Italian Crystalware Manufacturers. and the "Elle DDA" 2003 for lighting design. He was recently awarded the Jindal Steel Award for Excellence in the Use of Stainless Steel in Product Design in 2006, besides being selected one of the top ten designers in India by the India Today Group. Elle Decor International Awards 2005 (for Best Lighting), Elle Decor International Awards 2007 (Designer of the year), Stainless Innovation Awards 2007- Excellence in usage of the Stainless Steel in Product Design, are other commendable recognitions to his credit.
